I have the latest R6 install files for Voicemail Pro (6.0.22) and when I try to do a custom install, there is no option for VPNM (Networked Messaging) so I just went ahead with a full install. After the install I don't see VPNM in the list of services, am I missing something? Did Avaya change the way this is installed and not update the documentation or am I just going crazy?

Did you do a custom install or just went on ?

I chose custom and the option wasn't there. I thought I was crazy so I downloaded the latest R5 install and it has the option, but the R6 file does not.

That'll be because that is or should be taken care of by the Distributed VM server mode I guess :)

Ah, which makes sense I guess. I would have thought the VPNM license would convert to obsolete if that was the case. Speaking of Dist VM, anyone given it a go?

It is not mentioned in the 6.0 tech bulletin.
I don't know what happened with it.

With the 6.0.22 release, the option for Dist VM is there, its in the System > Voicemail tab, and the help file and install guides have some vague information about it. The implication is that it sends the other servers the messages vis SMTP, but it doesn't really say whether it is using the VPIM/VPNM to do it. We briefly turned it on, the set-up created all the voicemail accounts on the central server, but messages weren't moving around quite right so we turned it back off. We're trying to get our noses into the beta for the final release of Dist VM, I hope to know if we're in by next Friday.
