I have a client that wants me to rewrite their Partner programming entirely when they move. They have a ACS R3.0. I have a ACS R6.0.

Can I program it on our ACS R6.0, save it to a Backup/Restore card, and upload it on their R3.0 when I move the equipment?

Thanks,
Frank

theres not much to programing a partner , just do it when they move 20-30 min max

To answer your question directly, No. You can only restore the same release, and there is no convert utility.

As Skip said, programming is so simple, it won't take long on site, or if you're inexperienced, use the remote programming software to program at the office, specify R3 when you start up the program, and PRAY that you can connect to the customer's switch when they move.

Too bad. I was hoping to do this beforehand. They have about 25 phones and lots of 34Ds.

I do not have a good modem for the remote admin software and cannot rely on the admin software.

Thanks for the quick response.

When I am moving a system, I take the time to redo all the DESI's for the customer. That way I can sit at Ext 10 and reprogram all the phones by looking at the new desi's. Then I go put the new desi's on each phone On the 18D's I will usually try and standardize the layout with most of thses fuctions:
4-6 lines appearances
DND
Redial
Voicemail
Voicemail Transfer
Call Recording
Call Screening
Page warehouse
Page All
Caller ID.
Call Forward

On the 34's I usually have the above and then standardize the BLF Ext appearences for the most important extension. I reprint the desi's using templates from They have worked great.

Usally I can reprogram the system in 10-20 minutes for basic system functions and 30-60 sec per phone.
