All my users at a specific location lost all there personal greetings the wavs just disappeared from the server and everyone's greetings went to the default message or started playing their recorded names.

Anyone else experience this?

Did you left the Voicemail pc ip address default on 255.255.255.255 ?

It could be that there was a funny IT guy installed the voicemail tool in his pc and that those use now listen to that voicemail server instead of the one you wan't them to use.

So better point it to a fixed ip address thru the Manager.

check that they are in both the Greetings and GREETING Folder. I remember i upgraded from an old version to 4 something and I had to create a duplicate recording for each user in both folders. ifyou record 1 user wav check the format it is stored in.

e..g customer_1.wav I had to copy and rename the copy as customer_1_$.wav. These 2 files were then placed in both folders.

I had once that the VM folder was installed after upgrading in the C:\windows\ folder. The rest was still in the “C:\Program Files\Avaya\IP Office\Voicemail Pro” folder. But VMPro was using the greetings out of the windows folder and they were default greetings.

It happened again greetings for all users... POOF UP IN SMOKE!

This must be site specific,I have never seen or heard of this and now it has happened on the same site twice, what else is on that server/what type of server is it? Any unusual setup?
