We've progressed to using R5.0.10 and iNotes (server is an AS/400) and we've got a problem for all employees in iNotes. The Out of Office preference in iNotes refuses to let the user set it up claiming the user only has editor level access. I have encountered this too, and my access level is manager over my mail file. Any ideas where this problem comes from?

Don't know about iNotes, but we had this problem with regular Notes/Domino: check your Current Server Document: Security tab: Run restricted Notes/Java Agents. We put "*/ournotesdomain".

Actually, we stumbled across the answer to this problem after I posted the original.
The iNotes Out-of-Office is affected by a line under the advanced features of the Access Control list of the database. If you go to the ACL's Advanced button (propeller beanie cap icon), you'll see a line reading: "Maximum internet name & password". We found this to default to "editor". Increasing this level of access fixed our problem. However, we were cautioned by a more experienced administrator to not give Manager level access via web to everybody with an account due to security concerns. He stated that he believes that version 6 service pack 1 might correct this weakness to allow web access at editor levels for Out of Office in iNotes.
