Does anyone know exactly how the line appearances will work (key mode)? Will the button programmed on the telephone actually be the analog line (as a typical key system would) or will the IP Office merely route a specific analog line to a corresponding button on the telephone?

Trying to find out for troubleshooting purposes. my customer wants to be able to press the button for a specific analog line and pick-up that specific line.

wasn't sure if it will work a an incoming route and outbound will remain the same as previous releases or if the button on the telephone will actually become that analog line. Any help is appreciated.

the call apreance button will givbe direct access to a line (provided the IPO is configured correctly)
incomming call routes will still work as normal

this means that a user can have a line apperance & answer calls even if he is not a member of the ring group for that line
