R1T1 upgrade 1

I hate to ask a question I think I know the answer to, but here it is-

R1T1 w 6port fib card, and I need to add another 6 port card. I REALLY want to avoid reprogramming from scratch if I can. I don't remember R1T1 supporting an XC configuration.

Can anyone please tell me I'm wrong?

On the first release there was XL software which allowed installation of 2 6-port cards. I had XL software installed for the company I worked for in the mid 1990s. The first XC I remember was R1.1 XC. There was also R2.0 XC and R3.0 XC. Upgrading to any of these should not require reprogramming. Always upgrade your software first, then your hardware.
