Hi all-
I am having an issue with two customers IPO R11 Essential Edition voicemail. We have users configured to have access for hunt group mailboxes through their visual voice mailboxes. Intermittently, when they go into their mailbox , the hunt group mailbox they have an appearance for is "Busy". They can access their own mailbox, just not HG mailbox. This is an intermittent problem as it clears up after a couple of hours
I am told. I have monitored the process and the voicemail is not busy, whole system is idle.I have tried using the mailbox number and name (ie H2000 or HMain) and users are part of that hunt group. I have never seen this problem before until recent R11 install. Have opened ticket with Avaya. Has anyone else seen this?
Thanks

Have you run a monitor trace with the embedded.voicemail check boxes enabled at the time.of.the issue?

My guess is a simple recreate of the sd card will fix it but you need to run a trace to see the events.

ACSS

Just another day in the life of ME

is it possible that a 2nd person is already accessing this mailbox?
only 1 user can access a mailbox at a time

Do things on the cheap & it will cost you dear

Nah IPGuru, he said the system was idle.
Sounds like the SD card is on the way out.
Reformat the SD card but expect it to fail in the future.

Back up your recordings and configs.

Depending on the URI configuration the ICR can be completely ignored.

If your URI is configured to use internal data then the IP Office will look into the user's SIP tab and if you have *'s it will look into ICR.

A madman with a taste for speed.

Sounds more like a bug because the users mailbox is not giving busy.
I have seen this before and you need to wait a little bit before the group mailbox shows anything.
I think this was related to the amount messages in this specific mailbox.
If i recall right then it could be that it is more than the 255 that system status can show.
So check system status to see if this is the case.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

Hi All -
Thank you for replies. I opened a ticket with Avaya. They reviewed monitor logs and did not see anything unusual. They did just alert me that they were able to recreate the problem but not on the same version. Next steps is to try to recreate problem on R11. I will keep you posted.

Avaya has recognized that there is a problem and are working to resolve. I received an update a couple of days ago saying they are still working on fix.

Don't rest on your laurels waiting for an answer. Reformat the SD card.
If it was a software issue i would expect more than two customers to be experiencing this.
Check your HG names. No spaces. Check there are no spaces after the name.
Check your users. Make sure no spaces and no hidden spaces.

Depending on the URI configuration the ICR can be completely ignored.

If your URI is configured to use internal data then the IP Office will look into the user's SIP tab and if you have *'s it will look into ICR.

Did you ever get a response for the fix on this? I actually have 2 more cases of this and haven't gotten an answer back from Avaya yet.
