I've just taken over a small network, where everything was rammed onto one server. After a bit of juggling, I have decided to move ARCserve from the SBS server to another member server.

However, CA inform me that I just need to locate the key and transfer it, although I think that I would need to upgrade to the full version, as that is the way 11.5 installs on the new server.

Anyone tried this before, and should I just leave it on the SBS server?

don't know about just transferring a key, does not sound right to me. As far as I know you have to do a new install. If MS SQL is used for the database you can keep the same DB, during the install just point it back to the SQL Server and do not check the box to overwrite the DB. Check to make sure that ARCserve is not some kind of special SBS version. I think the SBS version has to run on a SBS system. Thing is that it includes all the agents and a greatly reduced price.
