Just seen that in the bin file list from the suppost website the ip500v2.bin is missing and noticed the same in the Manager folder, viceversa the file is present in the SD card after formatting/recreating.

???

In my manager folder they are available.

IP500V2-BE.bin
IP500V2-SE.bin

The file in the SD is still called ip500v2.bin, did they change the binfile name? Could be important cause if I want recover with bootp

On my Manager install I see all 3 files but that may just reflect my Manager install's update history.

ip500v2_be.bin is for Basic Edition, ip500v2_se.bin is for everything else. During processes like upgrades etc the appropriate bin gets renamed ip500v2.bin and used by the system.

Yes, I don't know how that affects bootp but I haven't had to bootp a system for a decade now and I don't think many others do either.

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.

I would be very surprise to see anyone trying to recover an IP500V2 using the boot p process when it is a simple mater to recreate the SD card.

looking back it is quite refreshing to see just how much improvement there has been since the network alchemy regarding firmware upgrades & recovery

Do things on the cheap & it will cost you dear

Seems that they now deliver three BIN files.
ip500v2.bin essential edition
...BE.bin Basic Edition
...SE.bin Server Edition

Derfloh, have a search in your Manager folder, I suppose you won't find the ip500v2.bin too but, as per previous comments, just the BE.bin and SE.bin.
I suppose SE.bin means Standard Edition and as per sizbut comment as soon you switch from basic to standard mode that se.bin file is renamed then loaded.
If so it should be better described, cause if somebody would still searching the old file name he would never find it.

Indeed, SE in this case is 'standard edition', the generic catch all term for everything that isn't Basic Edition.

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.
