R1 T1 Caller ID

Have an R1 T1 with CI cards installed. Calls are coming in but will only display the CID once the line is answered.

Now I reset the CID log and whgen I press the CID Log Feture button I set up it says "Log is Empty".

I can not seem to locate the area the allows me to program the CID for the lines. Usually it is found under TELCO with DR5.

ANy suggestions?

The older MICS software is kind of limited when it comes to caller ID.

It's been quite a while since I've played with any software that old but I'm pretty sure that only the prime set for that line will see the cid info before answering (assuming that's it's properly programmed to do so under LINES and also TELCO).

Other users who have that line appearance on their phone should be able to dial feature 811 and then press the ringing line button one time to see the info before answering. It's kind of unatural because you'd think it would just answer the call but it won't unless you press it again. Better yet just program them all a Feature 811 key on each set and teach 'em how to use it.

I recently took my own MICS up from 5.0 to 6.1 just so we could have instant caller ID on every ringing set in the house before answering (and without using F811) so you may also want to make them aware of that option.

its not the prime set that will see the CLID its what set you auto call info to. 1 set can receive instant CLID and the others will have to press f811 to see CLID or just pick up and see...

I am able to get the log space assigned to each set but when I press the CID Log it says "Empty".

What would be the next software level to upgrade to to get instand and logged CID to all sets?

did u make sure that u assigned log space to the sets?
how are you logging your calls there are settings for that too? f*84 to check
and 6.1 on MICS would be the sft level to show CLID on all sets...

i know many places that you can get this where are you from?

Yes, software. Las Vegas. Any website on line? Will this be just a matter of replacing the existing software module and reprogrammin the system?

You'll save money by going to a refurb R6.1 MR software. R7.1 will only be available in new condition. Yes to replacing software and reprogramming.

if you go with the new software dont forget that you will need a nvram w your new software...
