Here at my Company we have a lot of hatches loaded that we use. When you click on the button to preview all the hatch patterns palette it takes a long time to get to the tabs (ANSI ISO OTHER PERDEFINED COSTOM tabs). Under the "other predefined" tab the is about a hundred choices, give or take a few. I was wondering if there is a way to organize and eliminate the waiting time. Is the a way to only have the most used patterns in a tab?

or if anyone has dealt with something like this and has suggestions on other ways to preview the hatch pattern palette.

I hope this makes sense, I really didn't know how to explain what I need. I am sorry I ask such silly off the wall things. I am like everyone else, just trying to find a quicker and easier way to do thing in this fast pass world! Thanks a whole lot!!!!!!!!!! Kat

You can break the patterns down into single files, with the same name as the hatch.

ie NICK.PAT contains

*NICK,45 degree lines
45, 0,0, 0,0.5

These can be stored in a seperate directory (say C:\HATCH) which will then need to be added to the path using CONFIG.

These patterns will then appear on the custom tab, and be quicker to preview.
