Just wondering if anybody has worked on a quotation database and can one bee done in access, at the moment i have setup tables for customer, equipment and paragraphs of stanadard text but this is as far as i have got, what i am stuck on is i have a customer screen and need to be able to select for another table the equipment to be listed on the quote, also the equipment which is selected needs to have a combo or list box for locatation e.g Front Right, Front Left, Rear Right, Rear Left and another combo or list box for room description like Kitchen, Living Room, Bedroom etc.

I just dont have a idea how to select the equipment and place it on the form, the form needs to be able to have multiples of equipment.

Thanks

Rich

Think of the format of a purchase order with a header and detail lines. The header table (which you've already set up) contains information like the customer, dates, location, overall job description, etc.

The detail table contains one record for each detail item like equipment, room, room location, etc.

You tie the two tables together by including the ID column of the header table ("HeaderID") in the details table, but not as a primary key since more than one detail record can be related to the same header record.
