Hi, I use Samba 3.0.24 on Debian 2.6 for managing comps with WinXP. I have been using it for years with no problem, BUT -many users, not enough space- so my boss wants me to apply quotas.
My problem is, that when i turn the quotas on, they don't work correctly. For example when i set soft limit to 10000 blocks and hard limit to 15000 blocks (grace period 7 days), samba refused to store user profile, when it became bigger than 5692 blocks. Other case: SL 100000, HL 150000, did not allow nothing more than 50928 (and did not say anything like: "you have 7 days to remove data" either, so it seemed like i was trying to exceed hard limit).
When the profile was smaller, samba saved it correctly. I tried to use edquota and smbcquotas, but results were the same. Same problem occured when trying comp with Win2000.
Have you encountered similar problem? Please give advice. Thanks in advance.
