I have a ACS 6.0 with 1 308Ec board and a PCVM voice mail.
I have a "once in a while" occurrence that the users have passed on to me for an explanation. This is my setup.
4 lines programmed to go directly to the Auto Att #206
Selector code 4 in the VM system is told to transfer calls to 72 calling group 2 in # 502....Works fine...
Calling group 2 [ 72 ] has 3 stations in it Px 10, 11,12.
All 3 stations are setup for voice mail in # 310.
I'm told [ Have not seen it for myself ] that what seems to be at heavy call volume times [ Doctors Ofc ] that if a caller calls in, they hear the " thank You for calling XYZ auto att greeting ok...Then they press 4 to be transferred to the above calling group, but instead they hear " Your party is unavailable, press zero to be transferred to the receptionist....I'm aware that the PCVM is only a 2-port system ..So just for grins I did some testing to try to experience the problem myself but no luck...I had 2 callers call their VM for messages at the same time, thus tying up the 2-ports, and then I called into the ofc [ main line ] and the system did what it was supposed to ..It rang on all sets..Then I made all 3 exts 10, 11, 12 busy on calls and then called in ...pressed 4 and it worked as planned...
Any thoughts or suggestions on what set of circumstances would trigger the " Your party is unavailble at this time" VM message..Sorry for the long explanation!
