"You are not autorized to perform that operation" error

We have a database where the document executes an attached file which works fine for most of the time. However, on replicas of the database and for attachments larger than 1MB we see the error "You are not authorized to perform that operation. Could not detach to file...."

Any ideas what is going on? The operation works okay on the administration server and also for smaller files on replica databases.
