Hi there,

I have some strange issues.

Here is my config:
- Netbackup 6.0 MP3 Server (not entreprise)
- 2 NetApp 3020 filers with CIFS shares (not using NDMP)

I use the Netbackup server as a client to backup my filers. Backup selections in the policy are using UNC path, directly in the snapshots folders (Windows Open file option is disabled then).

I get tons of errors like this:
11/11/2006 2:25:55 AM - Error bpbrm(pid=2500) from client backup01: ERR - failure reading file: \\FILER01\FOLDER$\~snapshot\nightly.0\path\file.ext (WIN32 13: The data is invalid. )

The Netbackup client service is running with full admin right on the filer and I can access and execute those files with the windows explorer on the client (using the netbackup service account environment). Those files don't seem to be invalid.

If I restart the job, those files are backed up correctly. The day after, there are no problem on those files but the problem appends on other files.
This problem is the same on the 2nd filer and it appends during Full backups and Incrementals.

Any idea ?

Note than most of the files on the NetApps are created by Mac computers. (Some of them have strange attributes: created in year 2038, modified in 2004 (!??). It's my best investigation path by now.)
