Hi,

When the number I am dialing is out of service, disconnected, etc..
My system displays the message "Waiting for line" It gets really confusing for the user..

How do I program the IP Office to play a recording that says this number is not in service
or whatever message I want?

IP Office 500 9.1
PRI 24 Channel, Telus

thanks!

It doesn't in my locale. You should get engaged signal or an rva (recorded voice announcement) back from the carrier.

Waiting for line is when you have got to the end of an ars form, there are no lines available to seize and the system waits to save you having to dial again.

No fish for him.

You can get this happening depending what line messages the carrier sends back, we get it all the time if you dial a wrong number for example (on BT, Gamma and Hipcom to name a few). Either way it's not configurable and any prompt would need to come from the carrier and often they don't have their side configured correctly :)
