We are having issues with VOIDS occuring and no transactions being logged.
This must be from a security setting, but the manual doesnt discuss the Manager's setup / Floor Management terminal setup.
System security is hardly mentioned. Metro-touch is our re-seller but are quite horrible at getting back to us.

Basically I need to kow where to define codes or passwords for management, so certain types of transactions are restricted.

Thank you.

Can you elaborate further?? all voids will show on the voids report. If you are talking about voided credit cards, they will show on the voided credit card rpeort.

The security setup is found in the hidden configuration

I forget offhand which one it is exactly under, but it is POS system security

You need to set the according flags for which security level

Then in the employee file specify the manager security flag to the correct number

If you need specific module security and HAVE the surity optional module, the back of the house security flags can be found by pressing alt+F1 from the program driver

If people are deleting items from an order before it is sent to the kitchen or bar printer, there is little that security codes will do for you. This is not a void because the order wasn't sent, so the person can delete the items. They usually do this with things that they get themselves and don't need an order to print out for.

You need to "Hide review totals" which is the total of an order on the bottom right corner of the review screen before sending the order. This # is used to tell the customer how much the order is and then because they haven't sent the order, they can delete the things they get themselves. If you hide this total, the person has to send the order the recall it to find the total or go to the settlement screen.

BEFORE MAKING ANY SYSTEM CONFIGURATION CHANGES - BACKUP WHAT YOU HAVE ALREADY.

Go into Housekeeping>#2 Backup and Restore>#4 Backup>'C' for configuration>ESC>ESC to exit out of housekeeping

Go into System Configuration>CTRL + PGDWN>Hardware Setup>Terminal Setup> Flag "Hide review totals" to Y for all terminals>Press ESC several times until you exit from System configuration.

The change will take effect the next time (usually the next day) you perform a "Start Point Of Sale"
