Hi.. each time I use Outlook Express and Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro together,OE freezes up and i get this message:" Virtual Memory to low" so i went in the control panel and changed my Virtual Memory to 4,096,which is the Maximum allowed by WinXP..I still have the same issue!!
Now it is quite annoying, cause i have to shut down my email program,if i want to use Photoshop or PSP!!
Any help is appreciated!
thanks!! Michelle

Change it to allow windows to manage your virtual memory, also defrag your hard drive and make sure that you have plenty of available space on it.

Hi gbaughma ,Do you mean that I have to put a ratio at System Managed Size(MB),instead of Custom Size ? Now the space available on my C:Windows drive is 13342 MB.

Hi firewolfrl,I see 3 offenders in my list:
IEXPLORE.EXE 92,236 KB, swdsvc.exe 187,748 and Mcshield.exe 31,552kb I have no clue what those 2 last programs are!!

thank you both for responding!

How much physical RAM do you have?
Did this just start happening, or has it always done this?

Mcshield.exe is your Mcafee antivirus

This is an Analogy so don't take it personally as some have.

Why change the engine if all you need is to change the spark plugs.

See any of these help you.
