I'm running Win-98 and when I open a window and change the
display (for example from icons to details) and change the
window size and location and then close the window, the settings are lost. When I open it again, back to the
original settings.
How can I "save" my settings?

This is the XP forum not the 98 forum.

See if you have and option in any Explorer window/ View (menu tab)/ Folder Options/ View, to Apply your settings to all folders via the "Like Current Folder" tab.

Also check "Remember each folder's view settings"

If you need specific help for Windows 98 try here.

Thanks Linney
I'll post in another forum...I'm new here didn't even
realize there were different forms.
Thanks
