I have a process constantly running on my server called vhand which is owned by root and seems to be started at boot time. I cant find anything about "vhand"
Has anyone ever heard of it, what does it do?
Thanks

It's the page stealer, part of your memory management.

It pages out unused or not recently used to free up memory.

See if you want to learn more aboy\t this kind of stuff. I think there's also pretty good coverage of this in your on-line Performance and Tuning guide ( or see ) Tony Lawrence
