Hi all,
I'm studying for a cisco certification and I don't currently work in IT at all. I was a desktop support grunt till the bottom dropped out and now I've went back to aircraft building.
My question is just out of curiosity...what are the day to day common practices you guys in the network "trenches" use?
i.e.
*routing protocols used/not used.
*config "always do" or "never do"
*Configs that the books use but you wouldn't be caught dead doing...

Just curious..

I would like to see some answers to this also. I'm a CCNA, but very rarely get to play about on routers at all in the "real-world". I would love to see some best practices, sample configs etc.

BTW, if you check out the FAQs you'll see wybnormal has written some best practices...

techkiwi,
I did see the wybenormal FAQ's and found it to be very informative...I was just looking for "more"...it can never be enough...you know how it is...
