"updating" will not go away on display?

I have a customer who has the "Updating" dialog on permantely everytime she or I go in F** config config? If I unplug the phone it goes away but will not naturely do it the way it is supposed to once updating is complete. This is a system wide issue.

Is one of the stations being updated permanently in use (off-hook)? On my system (XC 6.1) from a station with a 2-line display, you can press the UPDATE softkey and step through all the DNs that are being updated. This should help isolate the problem.

yeah, sounds like the phone you changed, or a phone that was effected by a global set change, is in use.

It is running XC. But I didn't understand what or how to fix the problem. No new sets were installed, only additional programming was made using config config.

go into maint find set that the update says it is stuck on and disable and then re-enable
