"Update Domain" list empty

When I try to "update domain" for a valid site/domain name, the list of available computers to add is blank. I have verified the computers appear in Network Neighborhood and are reachable by browsing.

Brand new installation. EPO 3.0.1 running on a Win2K3 Server configured as the first AD server in the forest.
