I have some users on an Access 2003 database out in the field. The database is not set up as a front end/back end because a few of those users live in the middle of nowhere and have a dial-up connection, making loading speed of the database extremely slow. I have it set up so they email me their tables from the database that they change and then I import them into a "master" database - I know, probably not the best way to handle this, but I couldn't think of any other way. Anyways, a few of them have been using the database when all of the sudden they will receive the error message "Unrecognized database format 'C:\Documents and Settings...'. What on earth is causing this and how can I fix it? It's causing their database to crash and I can't retrieve the info. Any help would be appreciated!

This is usually the message you get when trying to open a new mdb with a previous version of Access. If you are absolutely certain that everyone has 2003 (and not, say, Office XP or 2000) your best bet would be to run a compact & repair on the mdb, and make sure everyone has the same SPs and updates installed.
Good Luck!
