"Unable to Load Report"

I wish to automate reports by changing filename at runtime, and have follwed the instructions for "Win98 scheduler printing/exporting" from the Seagate knowledge base.

Using Crystal Ver 8 Pro, and VB5 Enterprise.

I am running it from within Debug in VB, since I get the error "Unable to load report". This occurs at the line "CrystalReport1.Action=1"

The filename appears to be correct, ie App.path & "\report1.rpt"

Project is as per Seagate Article ID c2001564, ie single for with only Crystal control on it.

You are trying to run a V8 report with the V4.6 Control. I think this is the problem. You need the V8 control, which requires that you buy the developer version of Crystal.

To confirm this, create a simple report in your V4.6 of the report designer and try to launch it from VB. I am pretty sure that the only thing you need to add to the project for CR is the OCX control itself since you are using the OCX. Ken Hamady
