I was trying to install a PostScript print driver for an HP LJ 9000 on a WIN2K box and got the message "Unable to install Printer. The Print Processor does not exist." I looked it up on Google and found a thread on HP's forum site that ended with an entry from an HP engineer stating that the solution to this problem was to install the printer using the Generic Text driver then go back in later and pick the driver that you want. Worked perfectly!
Microsoft's Knowledgebase was no help...
I found that the only thread that Tek-Tips had about this was this one: thread96-960602. It did not have this simple solution in it.
