I was trying to do a backup today, and got this error:
Failed to return local host device list.
Cannot continue Backup manager startup.
Failed to process the scoped request.
General failure occured in processing the request.
Unable to get list of available media devices.
Failed to process the scoped request.
General failure occured in processing the request.
The devtree utility was unable to obtain the status of the directory
/dev/tty1a9
Then I tried to get a list of some tty devices:
# l /dev/tty1A?
l: /dev/tty1A9 not found: No such file or directory (error 2)
crw-rw-rw- 1 root sys 81,128 Aug 22 2000 /dev/tty1A1
crw-rw-rw- 1 root sys 81,129 Aug 22 2000 /dev/tty1A2
crw-rw-rw- 1 root sys 81,130 Aug 22 2000 /dev/tty1A3
crw-rw-rw- 1 root sys 81,131 Aug 22 2000 /dev/tty1A4
crw-rw-rw- 1 root sys 81,132 Aug 22 2000 /dev/tty1A5
crw-rw-rw- 1 root sys 81,133 Aug 22 2000 /dev/tty1A6
crw-rw-rw- 1 root sys 81,134 Aug 22 2000 /dev/tty1A7
crw-rw-rw- 1 root sys 81,135 Aug 22 2000 /dev/tty1A8
what's up? Should I use mknod to rebuild tty1A9? tty1a9 (lowercase a) works fine.
