I have a PC running XP Pro that needs to share the entire C drive and all the folders on a peeer to peer LAN, but get the following error: "No more connections can be made to this remote computer at this time because there are already as many connections as the computer can accept."

The PC is acting as a server for a "in/out" program and a shared calender for about fifteen users. There are no security concerns.

Any ideas? Thanks!

With XP Pro the limit is set at ten. This might be able to be overridden but I don't know how. Search the forum as there seemed to be a thread on this.

Yes, there is a way to do this. You have to change a reg key or two and replace one of the main operating system files. As soon as you replace it, XP notifies you that you have replaced an important file.

Sorry for linking to other forums but here goes....

(as with most questions on forums, google answered this in 2 seconds.)
