Hi.

When trying to access my Citrix farm, I'm receiving the following error message:

"The ticketing feature is disabled on one or more MetaFrame
servers. Please make sure the Citrix XML service is running on all
MetaFrame Servers in the farm and that all are listening on the
same port number."

I couldn't find anything in Citrix's KB. Anyone have any idea what could be causing this error?

We're using Metaframe XP on a Win2K server.

TIA

Mark

btw. We're using NFuse Classic to access the farm.

Could you give us a little more info on this. Did anything change in your environment before this started? Is there more than one server in your farm? Are you running any Feature Releases on the server/servers?

Hi.

Sorry for the long delay.

Hof. Nothing has changed environmentally. I also can access the farm using Program Neighborhood, but for some it's not an option, hence NFuse. We have 2 servers on the farm and both have FR2 installed.

Also, according to the error message, I have to make sure that "Citrix XML" service is running on all MetaFrame servers and that all are listening on the same port. Both servers are indeed listening on the same port, but I can find no "Citrix XML" running in "services" on either server. But the best of my knowledge, this service has never been on either server and seemed to run fine in the past.

Hope this helps a bit. This is driving me nuts.

Again, Many TIAs!

Hi Mark.
We are having the same exact same problem with our NDS\Nfuse setup. Have you found any solutions yet?
Thanks!

Hi Doneill.

Yep. Finally got it working.

We're using IIS to do user authentication and thus needs the "IUSR" account to be enabled.

Open Citrix Management Console and under the "MetaFrame Settings" tab, see if "Sharing with IIS" is showing next to "TCP/IP Port" on all servers in the farm.

If so, then make sure that the "IUSR" account in Active Directory is enabled.

This account must be enabled for IIS and XML to authenticate the user credentials.

Hope this helps.

Mark
