I'm not sure I'm in the right place and I'm certainly a novice but I'm hoping someone out there can help me.

On start up, once the programmes have all booted up I get an eror message saying "There is no script engine for file extensions ".vbs"

Whenever I try and print anything, nothing happens. When I check the printer access in the windows tool bar it shows the job is printing but still nothing happens. Then, when a try and delete the print job, the "cancelling print job" message appears, but again nothing actually happens.

I'm new to these forums and have arrived here in semi desperation as I haven't been able to find a fix via the normal google routes. Having said that, I did manage to pick up on a thread from programmer named Klae which looked like it was going to offer some help but the link offered in the reply to a similar query just took me to a Microsoft threads page that no longer existed.

Can anyone offer me any helpful suggestions for how to cure this problem?

Do you have Microsoft Windows Script Host installed?
It is used to interpret and files such as .vbs scripts.
It can be downloaded free from MS.

Cbsarge,

You're an absolute gem! This has worked a treat in combination with a great piece of software from uniblue that a pal of mine put me onto.

Problem sorted so thanks a million for your help.

Regards,
