make sure your connections are all good. It sounds like it is connecting, so I would double check your username and pw.

Make sure the port's and addresses are all correct.

Is this the first time you've tried to use the program, or have you used it before and all of the sudden it's doing this?

If you gave an infinate number of rednecks, an infinate number of shotguns to shoot at an infinate number of street signs, they would eventually write Romeo and Juliet in braille.

hi there,

connections are all good, its is a pure ip network. this error msg only comes up once a day. we've been using this program for years however the email server (eudora worldmail ver 2) is new. this problem started about a month after the new server came in.

:)

The only thing I can think of is a proxy or proxy problem then. ~Javrix

Does Outlook stay connected or connect at set times? Are there any limits to the amount of time it can remain connected, I'm afraid I don't know the Eudora at all. Maybe something in the client accounts got changed?

Incidently Outlook 97 is so full of bugs, Microsoft produced Outlook 98 free of charge. Apart from anything else I would consider upgrading!
