"The RPC server is unavailable"

I am getting the above message displayed on user browsers sporatically from two of my Web servers. When the user reloads the web page, the message disappears. The Web servers are Win2K SP2 IIS5. One server runs exclusively ASP pages while the other server runs only iHTML pages. The servers are not running out of resources, they are dual PIII 900Mhz with 2GB of RAM running off a SAN.

Any suggestions as to the cause of the error would be greatly appreciated.
