we have a 1-800 number. and for some reason when people call it, they get a recording that says "the number you have dialed is parked. good Bye."

Has anyone ever heard of that?

Yes its a recording reserved for people who ask questions but give no detail at all.

I'd tell you a UDP joke but I'm afraid you won't get it. TCP jokes are the best because you always get them.

More info... ok.

We have a 1-800 number. when people try and call it, they get a recorded voice that says "the number you have dialed is parked. good Bye."

Um, that's about the only symptom there is. We have a Mitel SX-2000... Umm, and telephones on site...

See that didn't hurt did it. The SX2000 doesn't really have a park feature and would not produce that recording. So its likely an issue with the carrier. What they might mean is the number you are calling is not active or in a reserved state. Once again you need to contact your carrier for that 1-800 number.

I agree that the message is coming from the carrier.

The issue could still be with the 2K in that it might be rejecting the call.

I think the 2k has the ccs trace to verifiy whether the call is being presented or not.

lol I didn't even realize I didn't put the type of system we have. I contacted the carrier and it was on their end.

The most common omission bar none.

Followed closely by Software version, set types, trunk types, and basic testing already completed.

BTW - My flame above was directed at Loopylou but I could see how it might have been ambiguous.
