I'm trying to create a new GoLive CS site from an existing company intranet website which resides on a share volume (mapped to a drive on my PC). I'm using the option to "Import from folder" to create a new site. However, I receive the following error: "Stationery could not be created because an error occurred. (#3)" This error then repeats for "Components," "Templates," etc. (all of the "Extra" items). Then there's a message saying, "The current operation wan not successful. An internal URL was invalid."

I don't know if this is because GoLive isn't able to create folders on the share volume (although I can create them manually, since I have full permissions). The .SITE file is created correctly, but there are no "Extra" tabs for the site in GoLive.

This is a large website (development site & published site) on a corporate share server, so we don't have the option of moving either one to a local hard drive.

I searched for this error in the forum, but didn't find any previous references. Anyone have an idea how I can solve the problem? Thanks...

I had the same problem and here is the solution I found. When GoLive CS creates a site, it trys to create those folders one level up from the web content. For example, if your website was at c:\webroot\website, GoLive makes those folders in the c:\webroot folder. What was happening was when GoLive imported the site from my mapped drive (I:), it was looking for a folder one level up and could not find it. So when it tried to create those folders, it could not. What I had to do was change the share so that the site is not I:, but I:\webroot and it worked fine.
