I'm trying to reroute a call in a script using AT&T's transfer connect. Unfortunately the script won't activate when I put an * in the number. Is there any way to get Symposium to accept it?

I also tried putting the * in the NCFW of an ACD and in the DCFW of a phantom, and both got refused too.

BD, alas, Symposium will only accept numeric inputs when collecting digits (I'm assuming that this is what you are referring to).

Well, am trying to do a ROUTE CALL - the first 'number' needs to be an asterisk - *8 is the trigger to transfer a call back to the network.

It's crazy that Nortel didn't build Symposium to allow * or # in a digit string.
