"Services On" - any other options?

I've read the above referenced thread concerning the 'Services On' message showing up on the control set. Is there any other way to make this message go away other than re-assigning the control set for the system?

I think the only 2 options are the ones the post mentioned.
1) Static Time & date
2) Change the controll Set
