"Security" is grey, and Checking Hyperlinks

In FP2K, my "Security" is greyed out on the Tools menu. What causes this in 2K? I was able to fix it in 98 but this one has me boggled. Also I'm trying to do a full web search of hyperlinks status. So far I can only see where the search is done one page at a time and doing a full search on the entire web yeilds nothing. It seems to be looking for the links but gives no status when it's finished like 98 did. Anyone got any suggestions about either of these situations?
