When right-clicking a link or graphic I have the option to "Save Target As".

However, what would I need to type in the Address bar at the top of IE in order to download a link or graphic instead of it being displayed in the browser?

For example, if I type in the address bar, the browser displays the website. How could I enter the address so that the website does not display and, instead, downloads to my hard drive? I don't want to save the webpage after it is displayed, I want to save it instead of displaying it.

In IE use the Help function to see what is available for "offline" web pages. There are several choices.

Eee-yahhh, I did that but mostly I have to load the pages first and then save them.

The reason I want to do this is I want to have a webpage in a directory but put some files/graphics in that directory that don't appear on the page. I'd be able to type the URL to the graphic's name and it would automatically download to my hard drive.

For example, say I have a webpage here (which I don't):

If I enter this in the address bar, the webpage opens up normally. Now, say I've put a file called CHART.TXT on the site that does not appear on the webpage. If I enter in the address bar:

IE will attempt to open the file in the browser. Instead, I want it to download it.
