Got a user who's trying to export a report from Enterprise to Excel, but get's the following error message ...

There was an error retrieving data from the server: Your request was refused because you do not have the right 'Export the report's data' on report 'XXXXXX'. Please ask your system administrator to grant you this right.

Do I need to specifically grant her the right on every report or can this be handled some other way?

Thanks

This can be handled many ways.

Posting the version of your software is useful, probably the first thing you'd ask someone about a problem.

You can assign rights based on Groups, Folders or on objects, and rights can be inherited.

These are all fairly basic concepts, but you might take 10 minutes to read up on them in the Crystal Management Console help file.

A quick fix would be to select the Manage Objects, click the report and in the Rights give her the appropriate privileges (you might want advanced and select specifics).
