Hi all,

I'd like to keep my group (Group 2)together on a Detail report that I'm doing, but I'd also like to ignore the 'keep group together' option on the first page of each parent group (Group 1). The way it is now, I get a blank page (no details) on the first page of the third Group 1 section. Basically because the first group 2 within that section is longer than one page.

I know we have the option to NOT respect the keep group together for the first page of the report, I was just wondering if there's an easy option to do so for the first page of a grouping. Otherwise, I'll probably just lose the 'keep together' on group 2.

Has this ever come up before? Any thoughts?

Thanx

It helps to give your Crystal version - 8, 8.5, 9, 10, 11 or whatever. Methods sometimes change between versions, and higher versions have extra options. But in this case, it probably makes no difference. In version 11.5, at least, there is no way to make 'Keep Together' conditional.

You could apply 'Keep Together' to Group 1, would that help?

Failing that, if it is always the same Group 1 code, you could have a conditional 'New Page Before' in the Group 1 header.
