Hello,
One of my machines with the Symposium client installed can not open Reports. When we click the drop-down and click Reports, nothing happens. Real-time Displays does the same thing but everything under User Adminsitration opens right up. There are no errors, it doesn't open.
Any suggestions?

Thanks!

new install or existing?

If its a new install, make sure its patched otherwise reinstalled.

If its an existing install, what software changes has been made on the PC? and I mean ANY software changes, including MS hotfixes.

SECC/SCCS clients are very critical to changes on the PC and unfortunately, the only recourse is to reinstall.

Most vendors I've dealt with will not the support the Client since its on the enduser PC and the vendor and Nortel will usually test the connection using their clients. If there's no problem found on their client...its not a sysmposium issue but the enduser PC problem.

Reboot the pc in question. Sometimes the pc burps (updates etc). I have had that happen from time to time, and just rebooted my pc.
Also if there are scheduled reports running off of that oc another thing to look for is that report listener is runnuing on your pc.

The few times I have seen this happen, it happened to be an old release of the software running on XP or Windows 2000 Pro. What release of the software are you running, and what OS are you running it on. If you are running XP Pro, check personal firewall ooptions.

Its running on XP SP2. It just started and has worked before. We did install a Sprint pc card along its software. That could have been it.
The XP firewall is off.

I figured I'd have to uninstall/reinstall but wanted to check.

Thanks!
