When a certain user hits "reply" it opens an import window that defaults to an ascii file pointing at the server based home directory. If he cancels it, he can continue with his reply. It is more of an annoyance than a problem. Just started a few days ago.

He can forward me the email and I can open it just fine. I have looked at his c:\lotus\notes\notes.ini and it looks just like mine - everything points at the local drive. His nsf and id file are both present in the c:\lotus\notes\data directory.

Using notes client version 5.0.12 on Novell 6 sp3 - client 4.9. The notes server is at our parent company. I have a copy of his original id file.

I can reinstall the client, but was hoping for a "quick fix", or at least an answer to "what happened???"

Thanks
Leslie

I have the same problem! Not only if you reply to a message, even when you try to send a new memo.

Check your Tools | Preferences of your mail file. Under the signature tab... You've probably selected the option of Appending your signature to the bottom of your emails and have HTML selected but have not specified a html file.

Hope this helps
