Hi there,

One of my user is using WXP home instead of WXP Pro (don't ask me why, some kind of historic problems).

From my machine WXP Pro, when I hit a website which prompt me for username/password, there's a "remember my password" checkbox for me to tick. Other WXP Pro machines also have this "remember my password" checkbox available.

From WXP Home, hit the same website, when prompt for username/password, the whole checkbox is gone, so user cannot save password.

I installed XPSP2 on that WXP home, still cannot fix.
I believed my IE6 with all possible latest patches, still cannot fix.

I really want to have that checkbox available for this user, is there any solution? Is this a limitation of WXP home?

Many thanks!

Have a look at the checkboxes under Internet Options, Content tab, AutoComplete button.

XP Home does not have the protected password storage service, only XP Pro has this service.

Your results are there "normal" for XP Home.
