I have an ADP project in a single user environment.

I am using bound forms. (for speed - this is supposed to be a quick project.)

I have a form that does not allow edits or additions until the edit button has been pressed. in "edit mode" there is a save button which basically just puts everything back into edit mode, because it's bound and updates automatically.

When editing a record, no problem.

If I add a new record, it works fineuntil I am back in edit mode again and try to leave the record or close the form. Then I get the message saying the record has been changed by another user and do I want to save changes, copy them to the clipboard, or drop changes. Save changes doesn't work. I have to choose "drop changes."

upon doing that, the record disappears from my form. It is not there even if I scroll through the records. I have close the form and reopen it and it is there.

Any ideas?

This is usually caused by a "bit" data type in your record. Some options are: to eliminate the bit field from your recordset. to add a timestamp field to the table where the bit field resides. to not allow nulls when creating the bit field.
