Hi, I have a text box 3/4th filled with text with 1/2 inch white space at bottom of last line.

when I use the bottom handle to tighten up the text box, that is bring it closer to last line, I get the + sign stating there's extra text (which there isn't)...so I am trying to get rid of the white space (I figured theres extra returns I may have made and tried to 'delete' but no go.

Thanks for your input.

Nikky

Look for returns after last line. ID will read them as text.

Using OSX 10.3.9 & 10.4.11 on a G4, G5 & Intel Macbook

...does type > show hidden characters reveal anything at all in that half inch of space?

Andrew

yes, show hidden characters shows 4 returns...I got rid of them, allows tighter fit of box.

but I can't get rid of the # character........maybe suppose to be there?

Nikky.

...yes, that is always there...

Andrew

The # symbol signifies that the story is ended. So any text box that you create will have the # symbol.

Just put your cursor on the # symbol if it's on a line of it's own. Press delete. And then resize your text box.

Hi

When I get the plus sigh at the end with no text after, I place the cursor at the end of the copy and hold down the delete key until it disappears.
