Any "ps" or monitoring command like "nmon" or "monitor" has suddendly starting showing huge numbers for memory
for example:
ps -ao "pid vsz" | head -8
PID VSZ
4158
12892
19128 618475291180
24226 463856471260
29436 429496733672
48728 429496733936
61426 412316863964
This is on AIX 5300-05. Does anyone know what the problem is?
I think this problem started at or near 5300-05.

I've seen that before, probably:
IY87884 STRANGE OUTPUT FROM PS

The APAR ships
bos.mp.5.3.0.51
bos.mp64.5.3.0.51
bos.sysmgt.serv_aid.5.3.0.51

So 5.3 TL 5 SP1 should fix it, or just grab the APAR.

I came across this with 5.3 ML3 (not all servers though).

Thank you DukeSSD and ogniemi, updating to 5.3 TL 5 SP1 (and then rebooting) fixed the problem.
