Is there anyway to have two predecessors, and as soon as one or the other gets done first, it lets the successor proceed??

Not that I know of.

(Curious: can you give me an example of the predecessor and successor tasks?)

An example might be that you have two teams competing with one another to accomplish the same task....these would be the two predecessors. Once either team succeeds, their result can allow the next step (the successor)to proceed.

I've not found anyone else that is aware of this "OR" capbility in Project. Seems odd that it doesn't exist......it certainly does in Excel, with "if" type statements.....

thanks for the reply anyway.

In that case I (and most PMs I know) would have a single deliverable and assign all resources to that deliverable.

For the purposes of schedule tracking (which is what Project is designed to do) that's all that matters: when is the deliverable available -- how that deliverable is prepared is quite irrelevant.
