Hi.
Win98, client. Trying to run a network setup of SourceSafe. The program to be run is on the server, somewhere in "\Program Files\". Although I can see and maybe execute all the files on the server (win2k server), I cannot access the "\Program Files\" folder. Says that access is denied. On the server, "\Program Files\" is shared, there are no restrictions on permissions for guests (I think), and the folder is read-only. By the way, when I tried to remove the "ReadOnly" property of the "\Program Files\" folder, after the question (if I want to remove the flag only for the folder or also for all the subfolders, files, etc), the command looks to work, but when I check the "\Program Files\" folder again I see the "ReadOnly" checkmark again. Could this be the cause why I can't run my Netsetup on the client ?
What's so special about "\Program Files\" ? I have full access to all the other folders/files. [sig][/sig]
