Error message.

This only comes up on HP laserjet 1300 and 2300 printers. Installed locally, on print server on terminal services still no good. Users can print from other places, but not from access (reports will not generate as a result.)

I've tried various drivers, permissions etc on the printers. I've even uninstalled and reinstalled office 2000. Still no good. Any suggestions?

Looks like a timing issue. HP laser 1300 anyways.

When the user logs in to terminal server, the terminal server needs to retrieve the printer informatiom from the client machine to match it up with the driver etc information loaded on the terminal server. If the user launches access too quickly, the print information stops and access loads the incomplete information. Then all reports and print jobs fail as a result.
If the user logs in to terminal server and waits a vew seconds, say 30 seconds after the login process is complete, the printer works. as a result I roled back the 1300 printer to use the 1100 (MS) driver and it loads jsut fine.

Now I've got to try the same thing with the 2300 PCL 6 printer.

Same with the 2300 printer. I roled it back to the 2100 PCL 6 driver that comes with the OS and everything works as it should.

Looks like this will become a more widespread issue with SP1 is released for Server 2003 enterprise, standard etc.

Good luck
